  • I see the old police box will be doing the rounds again!

    Look who's coming back ? I was introduced to Dr. Who in my teens through late night KVOS TV and was hooked. It's the kind of SciFi that you wouldn't watch for the special effects, but rather for the creative and interesting stories told. I've since thought that this is a mythos that could do really well if it had resources to raise the production quality bar. It looks like they may be doing this soon on BBC1 in the UK.     SpaceShipOne has Ansari X Prize for 2 manned flights within 2 weeks (they did their 2nd flight within 6 days). Watch NASAs archived web cast of the first flight here , skip to about 2 hrs in to see the launch. Todays 2nd flight is archived here . Both launches took place at the Mojave Space Port .   • TV on Demand... the way I want it!

    So some people download video on the internet, you might have heard about them. I'm one of them! The video I download most often is video of TV episodes that I've missed. I get these shows on the channels I watch on my own cable, but I find myself busy more often than not, and am not able to watch them when they're on TV. So I go to Kazaa , BitTorrent , or DirectConnect . Do a search for the name of the TV show, and if I'm lucky someone has already captured and encoded it. The problem here is that...
