Nice! A 400GB SATA 7200RPM drive for $400.
1$/GB. It wasn't that long ago that I spent $800 for a 1GB drive. Okay, maybe it was... That might have been 10yrs ago! Gee, I didn't think I was that old!
This sounds like a very nice drive... Oodles of space. So much space in fact that I'd expect the only way I'd be able to use that much of it is if I encoded and stored all my DVDs, and TV shows to digital video on the drive! That'd still make it quite an effort to try and fill this drive.
We're getting to the point now that drives are so large and so cheap that sooner or later these drives are no longer going to be an expensive part of a PC system. The sizes of the drives you use may be something that the purchaser of a system may not even need to ask about.
