Now that I have a HDTV ( LC-46D82U ) and HD programming via Shaw , I've noticed that the quality of the HD broadcast varies from channel to channel and in some cases program to program. For example, not all HD programs are created equally. The CTV National News for example is very clear and detailed, but most ABC, CBS and Fox programming in HD shows evidence of image artifacts due to compression. You might be asking what a Personal Media Player is. It's basically an MP3 player, but also includes capabilities for playing back video files. The market for this type of device exploded last year when Apple came out with new versions of their iPod and Nano players. I've upgraded the site to CS 2007.1 .  The upgrade was pretty painless... copy some  files, run an sql script.  Voila!  Updated! I've upgraded the site to CS 2007 and am trying out a few new visual themes from the recent CS2007 theme contest . I'm also considering elimination of the "single blog configuration" I've been using for CommunityServer because of the amount of effort it requires each time there's a new upgrade to CS I need to install. If I get rid of the single blog config, it means that any existing links out there to my old configured site will no longer work. Therein lies the crappy choice... Fortunately in CS2007...

Remember what I said on my previous post : Don't buy ATI. If you manage to get your drivers installed ( see previous post again ), and your software is up and running, then count yourself lucky. Don't ever touch that card, think about updating it's drivers, or even look at it sideways. You'll regret it. Don't buy ATI. For pretty much the last decade I've used both ATI and NVidia graphics products in the home PC systems I've built. Over the years my choice of which company's card I've used was the one that had the current fastest graphics card for 3D gaming. I've also used ATI for their TV tuner cards - these are provided as either an add-on "TV Wonder card", or integrated with your main video card as the "All In Wonder". I play Battlefield 2 a lot these days and have joined a BF2 clan called Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) . One of the things we'd like to do is have a quick way to see who's on our BF2 server just by hitting your clan sites main page. Usually when I get a new desktop PC, I'll delegate my home server duties to the PC I'm replacing. During my last PC upgrade I'd decided that my existing server system was just fine for what it needs to do, so I saved myself the hassle of doing a reinstall and migration of all the services from the old server. I'm just testing out the Windows Live Writer application. The WYSIWYG editors that CommunityServer provides is good, but it doesn't compare to the rich interface that Microsoft Word provides.
